Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis’s remarks following the firing incident involving Bollywood actor Tiger Shroff have attracted attention online, with claims of a verbal slip-up becoming part of the discussion.

The remarks came after unidentified assailants reportedly opened fire at a vehicle associated with Shroff in Mumbai’s Juhu area on Sunday, October 18. The actor escaped without gunshot injuries, while his driver and an autorickshaw driver were reportedly injured.

What Did Fadnavis Say?

Speaking to reporters in Nagpur on Monday, October 19, Fadnavis said police had obtained important leads and identified certain suspects. He assured Shroff that the authorities would pursue those responsible and take steps to ensure the actor’s safety.

According to reports by India Today and The Times of India, the Chief Minister said the authorities would track down those responsible, irrespective of where they were operating.

His remarks came amid concerns about the actor’s security following the shooting.

Police Investigation Underway

Mumbai Police are investigating the firing and examining available evidence, including CCTV footage, to identify the attackers and establish the circumstances surrounding the incident.

Media reports have also referred to a social media claim allegedly linking the shooting to the Lawrence Bishnoi gang. However, such a claim does not establish responsibility, and the alleged connection should not be treated as confirmed without official evidence.

Fadnavis indicated that authorities would coordinate with other states and seek assistance from the Centre if required to trace suspects who may be operating outside Maharashtra or abroad.

Why Is the Remark Being Discussed Online?

The Chief Minister’s assurance has drawn attention amid wider discussion of the shooting and the security of public figures. Online interpretations have described part of his statement as a verbal slip-up.

However, the precise wording and context behind that interpretation require confirmation from the original video. The reported statement about ensuring the actor’s safety should not, by itself, be taken as proof of the alleged verbal error.

The investigation into the firing remains the central issue, with police seeking to identify those responsible and establish the motive behind the attack.
