The approximately 3-km route brought together around 100 participants in a cheerful atmosphere. One of the event banners carried the message of Vigilance Awareness Week 2026, while another displayed the words “Ekta Run – 3K Fun Run” in connection with National Unity Day.

Participants informed that they had travelled from Kochi and were associated with Cochin Shipyard Limited. The organisation undertakes second-line servicing of mainland and inter-island vessels operating in the Andaman and Nicobar Islands.

Vigilance Awareness Week is observed to promote integrity, transparency and accountability in public life and institutional functioning. National Unity Day, observed every year on October 31, commemorates the birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel and highlights the importance of national integration.

The morning activity brought together employees through a shared programme promoting vigilance, integrity, physical fitness and national unity.
