Sri Vijaya Puram, 14 March 2026:

Bishnu Pada Ray laid the foundation stones for renovation and resurfacing works of link roads at nine locations across the municipal area of Sri Vijaya Puram, South Andaman, under the Central Road Fund (CRF) Phase-I project.

The locations covered under the development initiative include School Line (Ward 15), Dairyfarm (Ward 15), School Line (Ward 16), Dollygunj (Ward 17), Brookshabad (Ward 22), Carbyn’s Cove (Ward 21), Austinabad (Ward 20), Garacharma (Ward 19), and Birdline (Ward 23).

According to official information, an amount of ₹1 crore has been sanctioned for each municipal ward to undertake road renovation and infrastructure improvement works.

The MP expressed gratitude towards the Government of India and the Union Territory Administration for supporting the initiative and facilitating the allocation of funds under the Central Road Fund scheme.

He stated that the projects are expected to improve road conditions, strengthen connectivity, and ensure safer travel for residents across several parts of South Andaman.

The initiative is also expected to contribute towards better local infrastructure and smoother transportation within the municipal region.
